Francine Murnane is the principal designer and founder of FTR Designs LLC, a full-service interior design firm known for creating thoughtful, inspired, and highly personalized spaces. For nearly three decades, she has served clients throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties, Manhattan, Los Angeles, and internationally—bringing a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and genuine warmth to every project.

Her formal training includes a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design/Architecture, completed over four intensive years of study. She launched her career in Manhattan with the renowned David Easton Interiors, later joining the celebrated Beverly Ellsley Design in Westport, CT. In 1996, she established her own Connecticut-based firm, where her passion for timeless design and her client-centered approach continue to define her work.

One of Francine’s greatest professional joys is designing kitchens and architectural millwork. Her early training with both David Easton and Beverly Ellsley instilled a deep understanding of classical proportions, detailing, and craftsmanship—skills that now inform her signature approach to space planning and custom millwork design.

Over the years, Francine has completed a wide range of residential and international projects, including one of the largest private estates in Beverly Hills, a Victorian-inspired home in Montecito, expansive compounds in Jeddah and Riyadh, luxury residences in Dubai and Cairo, a waterfront retreat in the British Virgin Islands, sophisticated Manhattan apartments, and countless beautifully curated homes across Fairfield County.

With every project—large or small—Francine’s goal remains the same: to create spaces that feel deeply personal, beautifully livable, and thoughtfully designed.
